ISAM welcomes a delegation from the Ministry of Gender ahead of Minister Micheline Ombae Kalama's visit
On Tuesday 9 September 2025, the Director General of the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts (ISAM), Professor Peter Ngala, received an important delegation from the National Ministry of Gender, Family and Children in his office.
Led by envoys from the Minister's office, the team came to deliver a message from Minister Micheline Ombae Kalama announcing her visit to Mbuji-Mayi on Saturday 13 September 2025, when she will attend ISAM's joint ceremony for the graduation and the close of the 2024-2025 academic year.
On this occasion, Ms Ombae Kalama will raise the academic community's awareness of her programme's priorities, including:
the fight against gender-based violence,
the promotion of gender equality and equity,
the protection of the rights of women, families and children, and the promotion of positive masculinity.
Honoured by the announcement, Professor Peter expressed his satisfaction and enthusiasm at the prospect of welcoming the Minister and giving students an opportunity to reflect on major social issues.
