ISAM students take to the streets of Mbujimayi for a health and visibility walk

On Saturday 24 January 2026, the city of Mbujimayi came alive with a health and visibility walk organised by the Student Union of the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts of Mbujimayi. Combining artistic displays with community engagement, the event made an impression along the main roads of the diamond capital. Setting off from the Lycée Tuya Kumpala campus, the students, proudly wearing the Institute's colours, made their way along Cathédrale Avenue and FATSHI Avenue (formerly Lusambo) before finishing at Club MIBA.
For Cécilia Lusamba, President of the Student Union, the main goal was to put the Institute in the spotlight and to welcome new students. The route was punctuated by dance displays and sporting feats, showing the range of skills developed at the Institute.
The President was pleased with a record turnout, larger than in previous years, thanks in particular to the strong presence of new students, who already seem to feel at home.
