Beauty Therapy students put their skills to the test through supervised projects

The day after their dissertation defences, final-year Beauty Therapy students at the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts of Mbujimayi continued their assessment by carrying out their supervised projects on Tuesday 28 July.
As a true extension of their academic training, these practical projects allow students to show that they can apply the knowledge acquired throughout their studies. The aim is to confront them with the realities of the profession by assessing their creativity, organisational skills and mastery of techniques in beauty, decoration and event styling.
For the occasion, the finalists created three décors representing different types of ceremony.
The first was devoted to a customary wedding, with decoration inspired by African cultural values, featuring wax print fabric, raffia and a range of traditional accessories. The second recreated a religious wedding in a simple, elegant style, with white drapes and a central aisle laid with a red carpet. The third was devoted to a civil wedding, presented in a modern setting where blue and pink drapes blended harmoniously against a white background.
Through this work, the new graduates showed that they can design and deliver projects that meet professional standards. These supervised projects illustrate ISAM Mbujimayi's commitment to practice-based training that produces competent, creative graduates who are ready to work from day one.
Please note that enrolment and re-enrolment for the 2026-2027 academic year are already open, every working day, at ISAM's Administrative Building and at the Lycée Tuya Kumpala Campus.
