Second-year Beauty Therapy students practise facial treatments with natural products

Combining theory and practice to better prepare students for their careers: that was the challenge taken up by second-year Beauty Therapy students at the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts (ISAM) of Mbujimayi, during a day devoted to facial treatments using natural products. The initiative brings together teaching excellence, environmental responsibility and employability.

Under the expert supervision of teaching assistant Marie Bernard Mbuyi, ISAM's future beauty therapists put their skills into practice by carrying out 100% natural facial treatments. On the programme: skin diagnosis, gentle make-up removal, deep cleansing and relaxing massage — real-life case studies designed to give clients results that live up to their expectations.

But what made the session original went beyond professional technique. By deliberately choosing natural products, the students prepared for a reality of the field: salons and workshops that favour a chemical-free approach. This forward-looking teaching choice strengthens their adaptability and their value on the job market.

“I am delighted to see how easily these young people have mastered natural products. This skill is a real asset for their employability,” said their supervisor, Marie Bernard Mbuyi.

ISAM stands out for a training philosophy rooted in practice, employability and inclusion. Beauty therapy, fashion design, hospitality and hotel services: in each of these programmes, the Institute trains qualified professionals and experts ready to meet society's real needs.

With this hands-on, natural approach, ISAM shows that quality vocational training is the key to lasting employment. Come to the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts now to build your future through skill and creativity.
