Tina Salama receives an enthusiastic popular welcome for ISAM Mbujimayi's 9th anniversary

Arriving in Mbujimayi on Wednesday 1 April 2026, the Head of State's spokesperson, H.E. Ms Tina Salama, was given an exceptional welcome at Bipemba airport. A large crowd of students, academic and scientific staff of the Public ISAM of Mbujimayi and local residents gathered to give her a welcome worthy of the occasion, which marked the start of the events celebrating the ninth anniversary of ISAM/Mbujimayi.

As soon as she stepped off the plane, songs, cheers and messages of welcome filled the air, reflecting the enthusiasm and support of the population. Leading the welcoming party, ISAM's Director General, Peter Ngala Ntumba Kabashadi, surrounded by all his staff, expressed his satisfaction with this remarkable turnout.

This high-level visit shows that the authorities support youth training and entrepreneurship, in line with the wishes of the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo. It also shows that ISAM/Mbujimayi is a key institution for training future leaders and contributing to development.

The highlight of the visit is a talk on Thursday 2 April 2026 at the Hôtel Métropole, where Ms Tina Salama will speak on “Entrepreneurship and the empowerment of women and girls in the DR Congo: a cornerstone of the Head of State's vision”.

This theme, directly linked to national priorities, is expected to attract particular interest from young people and local stakeholders.

Through this turnout and the quality of the events planned, ISAM/Mbujimayi reaffirms its position as a centre of excellence committed to promoting knowledge, innovation and development for the province of Kasai-Oriental.
