The Official ISAM opens the first beauty lab in Mbujimayi

Under the leadership of its Director General, Peter Ngala Ntumba Kabashadi, the State Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts (ISAM) has taken a new step in its vocational training mission. The Institute now has a modern beauty lab, inaugurated on Wednesday 13 August 2025 in the presence of the deputy mayor of the Dibindi commune.

Located on Inga Avenue, opposite Saint-Clément school, the new facility is run by Marie Bel Ange Mbuyi, a beauty specialist. She expressed her deep gratitude to the Management Committee for making the project a reality and invited the people of Kasai to come and discover the services on offer: hairdressing, make-up, decoration, massage, pedicure and manicure. She also announced fast-track training courses to help train and empower local young people.

In his speech, the deputy mayor of Dibindi welcomed ISAM's progress in the field of beauty therapy. He praised the Institute's modernisation, which particularly benefits students' training, and encouraged other institutions to invest in research, innovation and upgrading their facilities to keep pace with technology and globalisation.

Director General Peter Ngala stressed the importance of this new facility, which will allow students to put their knowledge into practice, take fast-track training and offer their services to the community. In his view, the initiative is a big step forward for ISAM and for the local population, as it showcases the skills of the technicians it trains and helps young people become independent.

With this lab, ISAM affirms its ambition to become a regional reference in beauty therapy training, combining professionalism, innovation and service to the community of Kasai-Oriental.
