ISAM Mbujimayi holds a talk on women's empowerment in the digital age
On Saturday 12 July 2025, the main hall of the Lycée Tuya Kumpala hosted an important talk organised by the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts of Mbujimayi. Under the guidance of Professor Peter Ngala Ntumba, this major academic event explored the theme: “Women's empowerment in the digital age in an independent Congo.”
In her address, the speaker, teaching assistant Dorothée Kankolongo, showed how digital tools are a lever that makes women's empowerment possible, giving them a far wider reach, economic growth and a strong, credible public image.
For his part, ISAM's Director General, Peter Ngala Ntumba, a supporter of positive masculinity, made a heartfelt appeal to men to stand alongside women in supporting and encouraging their empowerment.
In a hall filled with ISAM lecturers and students as well as students from sister institutions, the event ended with a debate and question-and-answer session.
